CALL TO REPENTANCE

“I tell you, if you do not repent,
you will all perish as they did!”
(Luke 13:3&5)

This is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God. -- John 3:19-21

No human being is free from sin and each one is equally guilty.

There exist a dark side in every person that needs to constantly be lighted otherwise it may spread and even eat up the bright side of man. This light exposes the devastating effects of living in darkness and its powerful force will move you to live in the brightness of day. It shall erase any doubt and confusion caused by the blindness of your heart and mind. It shall make you see crystal clear the true path that would lead you be productive in anything that you do. This light of Christ is the Holy Spirit that dwells in you.

The Holy Spirit will never allow you to live in the darkness of sin and destroy the life that God has given you. He will be your guiding light to repent and eventually avoid anything that blocks God’s will and purpose for you.

Repentance is the way to cultivate and fertilize a barren land so that any tree planted on it shall bear fruit. This is the reason why the Lord reminds us that if we do not repent, we will all perish regardless of the weight and gravity of our sins.

Lord, I have sinned against you and with a repentant heart I beg for your mercy and forgiveness. Let your light shine upon me each day so that I may see clearly the path which you wanted me to take. Be with me always as my Savior, Brother, and Friend. Only in you can I live for the praise and glory of the Father now and forever. Amen.
